Finishing the Seed Sampler

Well I 'll make a promise here - I will finish the Lesley Grant Seed Sampler first, before going on to the Gail Bussi Road to a Friend's House .... despite the fact that SewandSo.co.uk managed to send me all the threads I ordered within 24 hours (which I was very impressed by). So you can imagine that the temptation to start the new project is quite strong ... but I think there are a few people out there who want to see the finished Sampler - so I will keep going with it and hopefully sometime next week, I will be posting a finished photo and we can do that Happy Dance!

Meanwhile, I could not resist sorting out all the threads into colours and marking up the symbols on my homemade thread sorter - this is just a piece of white card with holes punched in (I am sure most of us do something similar - very ecofriendly, reusing pieces of card rather than buying new ones in a shop!).

Happy Thursday everyone!

Dear Ali, I am sorry I have been so remiss in commenting on your blog lately... I'm afraid there were 5 unread entries waiting for me... Time just flies and I have been so late in reading my blogfeeds!

I really love the new sampler you're about to start... Know what you mean, though, it'll be so much nicer to start it when the Seed Sampler is done! But with such motivation, I'm sure you'll complete it in no time now :) :)

Take care my friend. Enjoy your evening! (((hugs)))

Ali, you are SO good to be able to resist starting your new sampler! I am such a serial starter that there is no way I could resist not putting in a few stitches after sorting the threads etc out :)

Hi Ali!
You are very strong minded, Lady!
I do the same as you when I receive a kit: I can't help but sort the threads right away, prepare everything -and I often swap the fabric too... as I'm not a fan of aida. It's such a treat to prepare it all!
Oh! I did get your hugs, and I send you some in return!
Take care!

What fun, completing some projects together Ali. Since your's is larger than mine I've added a small project which has been waiting to be finished for about 15 years. Will keep you up-dated. Have a great stitching weekend.
Hugs, Margaret

Hope you had a good long weekend stitching on the seed sampler. My projects aren't finished yet - hopefully tonight. I'm very thankful I had you as a stitching partner these past few days. Finishing isn't always easy but each time I ran into a problem I thought "Ali's in the same situtation, just keep at it".

Hugs, Margaret
